When calling us about repairs, please have the following info for us:

1) TV TYPE:

-STANDARD (old fashioned CRT)
-LCD (Liquid Crystal Display - most common thin panel)
-PLASMA (high-performance thin panel)
-DLP (Digital Light Projection - large big screen,
-needs bulb replaced periodically)
-RP (Rear Projection - old style, heavy, 3-CRT projection sets)
-LED (the newest and hopefully more reliable technology)

2) BRAND and Model # : for example Mitsubishi P61310JX2

-We have access to online research sites and can often tell you what the problem is based on that model's history.

3) AGE: You can almost always find this on a label found on the back of the TV.

-Standard TV's are not worth repairing after about 10 years and it is not uncommon for many of the newer technologies start failing after just a couple years.

4) PROBLEM: TV's are great to troubleshoot because every problem affects the picture.

-Does it turn on?
-Does it get sound?, Does it make any funny sounds?
-Does it have a picture?, What does the picture look like?
-Did it fail while operating or did it happen at turn on?
-Is it an intermittent problem and if so how much time before the problem occurs?
-Is it under warranty and have you called the warranty for authorization?
-Have you tried running it on more than one signal source?
-Have you tried unplugging it to reset the set?
-If the little indicator light(s) on the front are flashing, how many times do they blink before starting over?
